Forget CNN, which so far has few details of the ongoing attacks in Mumbai, India that have left at least 80 dead (Update: they’re starting to catch up now). People are giving first hand reports of what they’re seeing directly on Twitter. Flickr is another important information resources - images are here. Twitter isn’t the place for solid facts yet - the situation is way too disorganized. But it’s where the news is breaking. GroundReport is doing a good job of aggregating citizen reports. Both Wikipedia and Mahalo have constantly updated pages with known facts.

And Mr. Raj Thacheray is living truely to its meaning.
According to a breaking news, over 2500 Shiv sainiks have resigned from Shiv Sena to join Raj Thackeray's new party. And that not over, 3500 more workers are expected to join him shortly. Thats what i call politics.. Divide and rule. Balasaheb Thacheray was quit unafraid when Rane left Shiv Sena, same when Raj followed. Narayan Rane surprised him by winning with comfortable margin and Raj is all set to shatter the roofs of 'Matoshri'. Seems like a movie script.. Ramu, are you listening ?? 16 dicembre Nach Baliye was entertaining.
Finally 'Nach Baliye' ended.
I hardly follow any show these days. I've not watched more that two-three episodes of Indian Idol, Fame Gurukul or even KBC. But Nach Baliye was interesting. I liked the concept and the way they promoted it. Marathi superstar Sachin and Tu-Tu Mai-Mai fame Supriya was among the favorites from start of the show. Saroj khan, Farahan Akhtar and sexy Malaika Arora were the judges. And as any other reality show, this show also had lot of drama, rona-dhona and plenty of nach-gaana. And the final show surprisingly lasted for more that 3 long hours!
There were not less than 15 something performances. But were all great.
The show was really well organized. It made me n my room parteners glued till late night. Sachin and Supriya are a charismatic couple. There on-screen chemistry is just fab. Though Sachin's steps remind me of old Marathi movies, he was entertaining. And yes, his hairs are not original :-)
The show is hit and much much better than pathetic Kam Ya Jyada (presented by even more pathetic Manoj Vajpayee), Deal Ya No Deal and other boring game shows. But we when were switching between channels during breaks, all we wanted to watch was F.R.I.E.N.D.S! It a laugh riot. Hurt deep by the national humiliation suffered at the hands of the US govt, I had vowed to stop my weekly fast only when India starts giving aid to USA. It took just 40 years. Last week THE day arrived. When Indian ambassador in Washington DC handed over a cheque of US$ 50 million to the US govt, two plane loads of food, medical aid and other relief materials were waiting to fly to the USA. Time to break the fast? With no bad feeling about the USA, and good wishes for the Katrina victims, this humble Indian feels proud of the distance India has covered in 40 years. Let's celebrate a New India!"
